Warehouse Associate โ€“ Lafayette, IN

Are you looking for a full-time opportunity with a company that values hard work, teamwork, and growth?
Do you want a hands-on role that keeps you active while supporting customer deliveries and warehouse operations?

At Kirby Risk, our Warehouse Associates play a critical role in keeping materials moving accurately and efficiently to support our customers and operations. In this role, you will also serve as a Backup Delivery Driver as needed.


What Youโ€™ll Do as a Warehouse Associate

In this role, youโ€™ll support daily warehouse operations while occasionally assisting with customer deliveries. Youโ€™ll help ensure materials are received, stored, and delivered safely, accurately, and on time.

ย 

Youโ€™ll:

  • Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments for quantity and condition.
  • Accurately enter received material information into the system.
  • Follow warehouse paperwork procedures to ensure data accuracy.
  • Communicate receiving discrepancies or variances to the manager.
  • Process damaged or returned items and file freight claims as needed.
  • Conduct inventory and cycle counts according to company policy.
  • Move materials to storage or staging locations using system-directed tickets.
  • Keep the warehouse organized, stocked, and well maintained.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Deliver freight to external customers according to delivery schedules and route assignments when acting as a backup driver.
  • Perform all functions related to deliveries, including loading, unloading, securing loads, weight balancing, verifying manifests/order numbers, box quantities, and package condition.

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • A High School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
  • 1+ year of warehouse experience (preferred).
  • The ability to push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfort working on the warehouse floor and climbing ladders up to 15 feet.
  • The ability to stand for extended periods and frequently bend, reach, and move.
  • Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Talk or hear, both in person and by telephone;
  • Use hands repetitively to operate, finger, handle or feel standard equipment;
