As a Process Technician, you'll be responsible for preparing wafers for experimentation, operating reactors to perform thin film processes, and using scanning electron microscopes for analyses and imaging. You'll record process conditions and experimental observations, perform routine maintenance procedures, and evaluate wafers and thin films. Process Technicians are tasked with preparing cross-section samples for analysis, identifying patterns of interest in imaging, and operating laboratory process equipment and instrumentation. Your expertise in troubleshooting, equipment maintenance, and process optimization drives higher levels of productivity, quality, and efficiency in our manufacturing processes.
  • Has developed proficiency in a range of processes or procedures through classroom or job-related training. Completes a variety of atypical assignments, as needed. Works within defined processes and procedures or methodologies and may help determine the appropriate approach for new assignments. Completes work with a limited degree of supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepares wafers for experimentation to include wafer preparation and cleaning. Loads wafers, prepares reactor for experimentation and processes the wafers in the reactor. Evaluates performance of process system.
  • Interface with requestors, understand their detail requirement, and communicate on results. Take instruction from requestors and create/edit process recipe on the process tool.
  • Operates reactor to perform thin film process, under limited supervision.
  • Perform basic operational trouble-shooting during tool operation.
  • Records process conditions and experimental observations.
  • Prepare cross section samples for scanning electron microscope (SEM) analysis and help / guide requestor to optimize sample prep procedure and conditions, identify cutting location based on pattern instructions.
  • Learn to operate metrology tools (CD-SEM, thin film measurement, particle measurement).
  • Follow procedures to submit wafers for wafer processing (TXRF, SEM, TEM, etc.)
  • Checks performance of process system. Perform daily monitor of process tools to ensure stability. Identify problem put tool down and call for service.
  • Sets up equipment for experiments. Uses quantitative wafer evaluation and process instrumentation knowledge.
  • Perform basic analysis of process results. Prepares graphs and tables summarizing results.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects.

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.
For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
