Job description

Summary

The Rochester Americans are hiring multiple video room operators. Game day video room operators assist in the production/broadcasts of home games for the Rochester Americans.

Positions Available:

  • Technical Director 
  • Replay Operator 
  • Broadcast Graphics Operator (ex. Chyron/Xpression)
  • Camera Operator (Tripod and/or Shoulder Mount)
  • Audio Operator 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Operate equipment with efficiency and experience with the knowledge of sporting events
  • Follow the game action with focus and detail
  • Work with Technical Director and Producer, under direction of Sr. Director of Game Presentation, on game nights to help execute the requirements for game presentation
  • Able to set up and perform prep responsibilities for assigned position prior to game
  • Follow daily protocols, be punctual, clock in and out accordingly
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications for the Position:

  • 1-3 years’ related experience operating a camera – preferably for sporting events.
  • Understand basics of exposure, focusing and composition
  • Must be able to stand and lift heavy objects (50+lbs) for long stretches of time.
  • Must be able to work non-traditional hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Hours & Compensation

These roles will pay an hourly rate between $33.50 - $70.00 and will be based on position and candidate experience. These roles are part-time, with shifts based on the event schedule.
