Job description

Commercial Audio Visual (AV) Technician


We are seeking a skilled and dependable Commercial Audio Visual (AV) Technician to install, troubleshoot, and support AV systems in corporate, education, healthcare, and commercial environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with structured cabling, displays, conferencing systems, and technology integration, along with strong customer service skills and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install commercial AV systems including:
    • Video conferencing solutions
    • Large-format displays and projectors
    • Audio systems (microphones, speakers, DSPs)
    • Control systems and touch panels
    • Digital signage
  • Pull, terminate, label, and test low-voltage cabling (Cat6, fiber, HDMI, speaker wire, control cabling)
  • Mount displays, cameras, racks, speakers, and AV hardware safely and professionally
  • Read and interpret system drawings, wiring diagrams, and floor plans
  • Configure and troubleshoot conferencing platforms and room systems
  • Perform system testing, commissioning, and quality checks
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues onsite
  • Provide customer training and basic system orientation
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite
  • Collaborate with project managers, programmers, and clients to ensure successful project completion
