Company Description

The New York Red Bulls are one of 30 teams in Major League Soccer (MLS). RBNY, one of the ten charter clubs of MLS, have competed in the league since its founding in 1996. The Red Bulls play home matches at Sports Illustrated Stadium (SIS) in Harrison, New Jersey. The three-time MLS Supporters' Shield Winners are owned by the Austrian beverage company Red Bull for which the team is named. The New York Red Bulls offer one of the nation's premier youth soccer development programs, from local soccer partnerships across New York and New Jersey to Regional Development Schools and the Red Bulls Academy teams.

Purpose of this Internship

The Academy Scouting & Video Analysis Intern will gain hands-on experience within a professional youth academy by supporting the player identification and recruitment process through video analysis. Gain experience organizing scouting databases, maintaining video libraries, and preparing materials for internal scouting discussions.

Improve analytical thinking, written communication, and attention to detail in a professional sporting environment.

Work collaboratively with Academy staff while gaining insight into the day-to-day operations of a Major League Soccer academy.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program and eligible to receive academic credit for the internship.

Pursuing a degree in Sport Management, Sports Analytics, Performance Analysis, Coaching, Data Analytics, Kinesiology, or a related field.

Passionate about soccer, player development, scouting, and performance analysis.

Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills.

Comfortable reviewing large amounts of match footage and identifying key player actions.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.
