This Southern Illinois organization is the most respected privately owned animal hospital - and is looking for exceptional veterinary technicians to join the team. Founded over 40 years ago and still led by the same veterinarian owner, this is a full-service hospital with general practice, surgery, emergency, and urgent care at the main location and two satellite clinics serving the Metro East region. Our vet techs are not support staff - they are the backbone of animal care. Practice Environment
- Full-service main hospital: general practice, surgery, emergency, and urgent care - 24/7 operations
- Two satellite locations focused on general practice and wellness, Monday through Friday
- Team of 11 veterinarians and approximately 94 total staff

Opportunity Details
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, procedures, and surgeries
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed
- Collect and process lab samples including blood draws, urinalysis, and cytology
- Monitor anesthesia and provide preoperative patient care
- Operate diagnostic imaging equipment including radiography and ultrasound
- Triage and assist with emergency and urgent care cases
- Assist with dental procedures and prophylaxis
- Educate and communicate with clients about care plans and home instructions
- Maintain accurate and complete medical records

Candidate Requirements
- Credentialed Veterinary Technician - CVT, LVT, or RVT - strongly preferred
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary technology program
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Illinois
- Experience in general practice, emergency, or surgical settings a plus
- Proficient in anesthesia monitoring, venipuncture, radiology, and patient care
- New graduates from accredited programs encouraged to apply
- Strong communicator with a team-first, patient-centered approach
