Job description

The Cook is responsible for preparing, cooking, and packaging food items while maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and sanitation. This position supports efficient food service operations by ensuring products are prepared accurately, work areas remain clean and organized, and guests receive a positive dining experience. The Cook works collaboratively with team members in a fast-paced environment to meet event and customer service demands.
This role pays an hourly rate of $16.00 - $20.00

This position will remain open until November 13, 2026.
- Responsible for providing high-quality, fresh food products in a timely manner for delivery to guests.
- Prepares hot and cold foods following company recipes and portioning requirements.
- Participates as a team player with specific responsibilities as related to preparation, excellent service, and delivery of product.
- Responsible for reporting any maintenance required for kitchen equipment.
- Maintains sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.
- Responsible for observing and testing foods to ensure proper cooking.
- Responsible for portioning, arranging, and garnishing food plates for delivery to guests.
- Responsible for consulting with Executive Chef, Sous Chef or Kitchen Supervisor to plan menus and estimate expected food consumption.
- Show demonstrated ability to meet the company standard for excellent attendance.
- Previous cook or prep cook experience highly preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Able to operate standard kitchen equipment, including the broiler, steamer, convection oven, mixer, meat slicer, and chef knife.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented event-driven environment.
- Possess a valid food handling certificate if required by state and federal regulations.
- ServSafe preferred.
- Ability to prepare food safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of basic food handling, sanitation, and safety practices.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
