Day to day as a Crane Operator
As a new Crane Operator at Florida Atlantic Ironworks, you can expect an exciting and dynamic work environment that will keep you engaged and energized. You'll start each day by conducting thorough equipment inspections, ensuring that everything is in optimal working condition. With a Monday-Friday schedule, with some weekends. Would you be a great Crane Operator?
To thrive as a Crane Operator at Florida Atlantic Ironworks, you'll need a set of essential skills that will help you excel in this role. Firstly, you should have a strong understanding of crane operations, including knowledge of rigging, load capacity, and safety protocols. Your ability to interpret blueprints and construction plans will be invaluable in guiding your movements and ensuring precise placement of materials.
5 years experience or more
Must have CDL
Must have NCCO certification for small and large Hydro's swing cab.
TLL certification is required.
LAT and TSS is a plus.
Must be fluent in English.
Proficiency in operating the necessary software and tools is a must. This includes familiarization with crane control systems and computer-aided design (CAD) software. You'll also need to have a keen eye for detail and excellent hand-eye coordination to handle the controls and maneuver the crane with precision.
Physical stamina and strength are crucial for this role, as you'll be working with heavy loads and spending long hours operating the crane. Good communication skills are also essential for effective collaboration with the team on the ground and following instructions from supervisors.
