Job description

Job Summary:

While working onsite, Crisis Workers receive hotline calls from individuals needing emotional support, de-escalation, or immediate crisis intervention due to suicidal or homicidal risk, psychosis, severe deterioration, anxiety, depression, substance use, etc. Crisis Workers collaborate with callers to create an individualized plan that ensures safety, offers coping strategies, and provides resources. Our Crisis Workers build strong rapport, demonstrate empathy, and maintain professional communication while delivering high-quality electronic documentation of the call interactions.

Positions Available:

QMHP CRISIS WORKER (Qualified Mental Health Professional)

  • In addition to answering the crisis line, this position also provides emergency outreach screenings from our call center via phone or video to individuals at hospitals, jails, or police departments who are at imminent risk or experiencing psychosis and in possible need of hospitalization.
  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in the behavioral health field (i.e. social work, psychology, sociology, counseling, etc.)
  • Base Pay Rate of $22.20/hr., plus shift differential of $1/hr. (4pm-12am) and $2/hr. (12am-8am)

Additional Requirements:

  • Fluency in English
  • Positive work history
  • Computer literate and typing skills of 35 WPM/ 90% accuracy (typing test administered)
  • A valid state issued driver’s license or ID
  • Pass a background check
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 call center
  • Strong active listening, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to remain calm and focused during high-stress situations
  • Must demonstrate progression in and pass an in-house Crisis Intervention training program
