Job description

Process merchandise to and from stores and vendors. Role model and demonstrate the Company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.

Minimum

  • HS diploma/GED plus two-three years jewelry experience; or combination of relevant education and experience. 
  • Minimum 18 years of age 
  • Ability to pass a drug test 
  • Ability to work weekends on an occasional basis 
  • Accuracy/attention to detail 
  • Ability to organize/prioritize variety of tasks/projects 
  • Familiarity with jewelry terms and processes 
  • 4,000 SPH ten-key by touch 
  • Valid driver's license 

Desired

  • Knowledge of Fred Meyer policies, procedures, and organizational structure 
  • Jewelry sales, receiving, and/or accounting experience 
  • 40 WPM typing 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access 
  • Ability to operate the following special equipment, machinery, and/or special tools: tagging machine 
  • Proficient with jewelry system software 
  • Model "Customer 1st" behavior; deliver and encourage other associates to deliver excellent customer service 
  • Distribute merchandise to stores via the jewelry system
