A Weekend TWIC Card job refers to employment opportunities that require workers to have a valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) and are scheduled primarily on weekends. These jobs are typically found in maritime, port, or transportation facilities where federal regulations require employees to have secure access. Common roles include security personnel, dock workers, truck drivers, and warehouse staff. Having a TWIC card verifies that the individual has passed a background check and is authorized to work in secure areas. Weekend shifts are popular for those seeking part-time or supplemental income.

What are typical responsibilities for a Weekend TWIC Card holder working at a port or terminal?

As a Weekend TWIC Card holder working at a port or terminal, your responsibilities may include monitoring access points, verifying credentials of personnel and visitors, and ensuring compliance with security procedures during weekend shifts. You may also assist with loading and unloading cargo, conducting safety inspections, and communicating with supervisors or security teams about any incidents. The role often requires attention to detail and a strong commitment to following federal and facility-specific security protocols.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Weekend TWIC Card holder, and why are they important?

Familiarity with port entry systems, security protocols, and basic computer tools is often necessary.
