Job description

This role is responsible for leading field crews, coordinating daily activities, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and maintaining high-quality workmanship while supporting operational goals.


  • Lead and supervise rig-up crew members during field operations.
  • Coordinate the installation, rig-up, rig-down, and relocation of oilfield equipment.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company policies and customer requirements.
  • Conduct pre-job safety meetings and promote a strong safety culture.
  • Inspect equipment before, during, and after operations to verify proper functionality.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs as needed.
  • Maintain accurate daily reports, work orders, and job documentation.
  • Communicate with supervisors, customers, and other departments regarding job progress and operational needs.
  • Train and mentor new crew members on equipment, procedures, and safety practices.
  • Ensure tools, vehicles, and equipment are properly maintained and accounted for.
  • Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting equipment to and from job sites.
  • Respond to changing operational priorities and work overtime, weekends, or on-call schedules as required.

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 3+ years of oilfield rig-up, production, or related field experience.
  • Previous experience leading crews or supervising field personnel preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of oilfield equipment, rig-up procedures, and safe work practices.
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions, procedures, and basic drawings.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to pass required background screening, drug testing, and fit-for-duty requirements.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.Frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, and lifting. Ability to work long hours and travel to remote job locations as needed.
