Job description

Bonitz of Georgia is hiring a traveling Crewmember for it's Commercial Roof Deck Division. You will travel with the crew throughout the southeast and be home most weekends. Your job duties include assisting both the ground and roof crews during roof installs on commercial structures. Under the training and coaching of the site supervisors, you'll assist the team by preparing the work site, cleaning, loading or unloading materials, and removing hazards. You'll also learn to operate and maintain our equipment. A successful crewmember will be dependable, flexible and adaptable to their work duties and be mechanically inclined.

Bonitz of Georgia is a certified drug-free workplace. We operate primarily in Georgia, Florida, North Carolina and South Carolina.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prep the equipment site to keep the area clean during pumping process
  • Properly mix lightweight insulating concrete roof deck systems
  • Recognize and report any unsafe jobsite condition
  • Communicate clearly with ground and roof team members
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures


ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIREMENTS

  • Overtime as required
  • Communication skills
  • Travel to various job sites, up to 75% weekday overnight travel
  • Must be able to lift, push, or pull heavy equipment (75+ pounds)
  • Must posses the ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Must posses good manual dexterity to climb around equipment and job site
  • Ability to work at heights as well as access heights from a ladder
  • Employees may be required to perform any other job-related tasks as requested by the Foreman
  • Must enjoy working outside in all weather conditions
  • Ability to work occasional weekend day(s)


REQUIREMENTS -Bonitz of Georgia is a drug-free workplace

  • Candidates must be willing to submit to a preemployment drug screening
  • Normal vision and hearing
  • Clean driving record (No DUI's in the last 5 years)
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Willingness to learn the operation and maintenance of the equipment
