Overview
Alerus Center is looking for a creative, energetic, and self-motivated Content Coordinator to help tell the story of one of the region's busiest event venues. From concerts and sporting events to conferences and community celebrations, this role will focus on capturing the moments that make live events memorable while helping expand Alerus Center's presence throughout the community.
This role pays an hourly rate of $13.00-$16.00
Benefits for Part-Time roles: 401(k) Savings Plan and 401(k) matching.

Responsibilities
What You'll Do
  • Content Creation & Social Media
  • Capture photo and video content during concerts, athletic events, conferences, weddings, trade shows, and community events
  • Create short-form video content for platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, Facebook, and more
  • Assist in building and organizing a long-term content library for future marketing campaigns
  • Identify creative storytelling opportunities around events, guests, staff, and behind-the-scenes moments
  • Help brainstorm and execute social media trends, concepts, and campaigns
  • Edit quick-turn social media content for same-day posting
  • Additional tasks as assigned

Grassroots & Community Marketing
  • Assist with poster and flyer distribution throughout the Greater Grand Forks region
  • Represent Alerus Center at community events, tabling opportunities, and activations
  • Support promotional street team efforts and fan engagement opportunities

Event Support
  • Attend select events, which may include some evenings and weekends, as part of content-coverage responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of event-day responsibilities within the Marketing Department
  • Attend bimonthly Sales & Marketing meeting
  • Work closely with the Sales & Marketing Department to identify priority moments and promotional opportunities

Qualifications
What We're Looking For
  • Strong interest in social media, marketing, content creation, or live events
  • Comfortable shooting content on smartphones and/or cameras
  • Familiarity with TikTok, Instagram Reels, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or similar editing tools
  • Creative mindset with an understanding of trends and audience engagement
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and in fast-paced event environments
  • Availability for some nights and weekends

Bonus Skills (Not Required)
  • Photography or videography experience
  • Graphic design experience
  • Interest in sports, entertainment, concerts, or community events
  • Must have working knowledge of social media platforms, including TikTok
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
  • Well organized with ability to prioritize and handle multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment
