OVERVIEW

As a Venue Tech, you keep every Challenge in the Venue running at a best-in-class level for Level99 Players. You own the inspection, preventative maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of every Challenge and gameplay system in the Venue, and you're the first response for facility maintenance across the Venue.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Complete weekly inspections on every Challenge across mechanical, electrical, structural and safety elements
  • Own first-response troubleshooting and repair when a Challenge or gameplay system fails during live operations, resolving what you can and escalating what you can't
  • Uphold hospitality and show standards in Guest-facing areas while performing visible work
  • Perform preventative maintenance including touch-up painting, tightening hardware, cleaning components, and inspecting wear points
  • Serve as first response for general facility and Venue maintenance, resolving what you can and escalating what you can't
  • Document all work in MaintainX and communicate closures, reopenings, and operational impacts in real time internally and with cross-functional teams.
MUST-HAVE SKILLS
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs which will include days, nights, weekends and holidays as well as emergency responsiveness as required
  • Safe and competent use of common hand and power tools
  • Ability to triage and prioritize competing issues based on safety, Player impact, and urgency
  • Ability to work 10+ hour shifts, stand and walk for extended periods, climb stairs and ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment
  • A positive, joyful, upbeat and energetic attitude
OTHER DESIRABLE (BUT NOT NECESSARY) SKILLS & EXPERIENCE INCLUDE
  • Low-voltage wiring, electro-mechanical repair, or electrical troubleshooting
  • PLCs, microcontrollers, sensors, or other controls and automation systems
  • PC, network, or AV systems troubleshooting
  • Carpentry, fabrication, or work with wood, metal, and plastics
  • Scenic painting, surfacing, or refinishing
  • Theatrical lighting, DMX, sound, or show control systems
  • Rigging inspection and maintenance
  • General facility maintenance including plumbing and HVAC
  • Experience in entertainment, attractions, theme parks, escape rooms, theatre, or live events
  • Relevant Education: B.S. in Production, Design, Theatre Tech, Engineering, or other related degree 
  • CPR/AED/First Aid Certified
$22 - $27 an hour
While we don't expect a candidate to have deep experience in all of the above, we're looking for someone with the passion and capability to learn quickly in the areas that are new!
