Job Overview

The Nutrition Services Aide prepares and portions food, assembles and disassembles patient trays in a safe manner, serves customers, delivers, and retrieves patient trays. 

Position Details

  • 0.81 FTE (65 hours per pay period)
  • day shift
  • every other weekend
  • temporary position
Week One: Monday 7am-2:30pm, Tuesday 7am-2:30pm, Wednesday 7am-2:30pm, Saturday 6:30am-3pm, Sunday 6:30am-3pm
Week Two: Tuesday 7am-2:30pm, Wednesday 7am-2:30pm, Thursday 7am-2:30pm, Friday 7am-2:30pm.


Responsibilities

  • Prepares and portions food appropriately for designated area
  • Prepares and delivers patient nourishments and tube feeding per department standards.
  • Plates and serves food
  • Accurately place correct item on tray in proper location in accordance with department productivity standards.
  • Handles and stores food in a safe manner following HACCP standard operating procedures.
  • Wash and sanitize dishes and utensils.
  • Serves customers in cafeterias, doctor’s dining rooms and other non-patient locations.
  • Accurately operates cash register.


Required Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate clearly, verbally and in writing, using the English language.
  • Basic math skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED
