Job description

STS Technical Services is hiring Laser Operators to support a growing, privately held manufacturing company in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. These are direct-hire positions with openings on both 2nd Shift and Weekend Shift (Friday-Sunday, plus one additional day).
If you have CNC laser experience and are looking to join a financially stable company that values safety, skill, and long-term growth, this is an excellent opportunity.
Position Overview:
As a Laser Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining a Cincinnati Laser system while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and workplace safety. This position requires a minimum of 45-50 hours per week and occasional Saturday availability based on business needs. Overtime is paid at time and a half for any time worked over 40 hours in a week.
Responsibilities:
  • Operate and monitor a Cincinnati Laser
  • Load programs from job folders
  • Load steel onto the carts of the machine
  • Change out lenses and tips
  • Cleaning of the machine and the area surrounding the machine
  • Maintenance of the machine
  • Troubleshoot machine
  • Work in a safe manner and enforce all safety policies

Qualifications:
  • Computer literate
  • Manufacturing experience
  • Able to read blueprints
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve issues with the laser
  • Must be highly motivated and well organized
  • Able to communicate and work well with others
  • Must pass competency test, and pre-employment physical, including drug screen
  • Must be flexible to updated changes in production schedules
  • Crane and forklift experience preferred
