Weekend Teen Model information

What is a weekend teen model?

Weekend Teen Models are adolescents who work as models, typically for fashion, commercial, or promotional assignments that take place on weekends. This job allows teens to gain experience in the modeling industry without interfering with their school schedules. Weekend Teen Models often participate in photo shoots, runway shows, or promotional events, representing brands or designers targeting youth markets. The role can help them build a portfolio, gain confidence, and potentially open doors to more modeling opportunities in the future.

What should I expect during a typical weekend photoshoot as a teen model?

As a weekend teen model, you can expect your photoshoots to involve early call times, multiple wardrobe changes, and working with a team that may include photographers, stylists, and makeup artists. Shoots often require following direction for different poses and expressions, sometimes for several hours at a time. It's important to maintain professionalism, communicate clearly with the team, and be prepared for both indoor and outdoor settings depending on the client's needs. Balancing modeling commitments with school responsibilities is also a common challenge, so strong time management skills are essential.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a weekend teen model, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Weekend Teen Model, you need a combination of a presentable appearance, confidence in front of the camera, and the ability to follow directions, often with prior modeling experience or participation in modeling classes being advantageous. Familiarity with posing techniques, basic fashion and makeup knowledge, and experience with portfolio development tools are typically beneficial. Strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and adaptability help models build positive relationships with photographers and clients. These skills and qualities are crucial for succeeding in a competitive industry and ensuring successful photo shoots or fashion events.

Weekend Teen Models typically focus on fashion and photo shoots during weekends, often working with modeling agencies. Part-Time Promotional Models engage in marketing activities like product demos and event promotions, often in retail or trade show environments. While both roles involve representing brands and require similar credentials, their work settings and industry focus differ, catering to different career interests within the promotional and modeling sectors.

Can you model on weekends?

Weekend teen models can often work on weekends if the job schedule allows, but availability depends on the specific modeling agency or client. Flexibility and clear communication about availability are important for weekend modeling jobs, which may include photoshoots, fashion shows, or promotional events scheduled outside regular weekday hours.

  • Support recruitment and enrollment through parent engagement, community visibility, and mission-centered storytelling.

Instruction & Player Development

  • Deliver individual, group, and family instruction while guiding participants through player development pathways that encourage long-term participation and skill growth.
  • Develop competitive players by preparing participants for VSGA junior events and other competitive opportunities while providing tournament education and on-site event execution.
  • Create instructional videos and digital content that promote First Tee programs, player development, and community engagement.
  • Serve as a positive role model and mentor aligned with First Tee’s mission and youth‐development values.

Golf Operations and Facility Leadership

  • Identify, develop, and implement revenue-generating opportunities that increase facility utilization and junior golf development while advancing First Tee’s mission.
  • Support golf operations through equipment procurement, simulator management, merchandising, inventory control, and continuous facility improvements.
  • Provide operational leadership during facility hours by guiding shop attendants, maintaining a high-quality guest experience, and providing feedback that improves facility operations, programming, and participant engagement.
  • Maintain a safe, welcoming, and organized facility, ensuring daily operational readiness, schedule accuracy, equipment organization, and cleanliness.
  • Contribute to a collaborative, team-oriented culture across staff and volunteers.

Reporting Structure

  • Reports to the Director of Curriculum & Player Development
  • Works collaboratively with facility staff, part-time instructors, and volunteers
  • Provides regular updates on program performance, participant progress, and operational initiatives.

Required Qualifications
