We are seeking an experienced Procedure Nurse or Certified Medical Assistant II to join our Specialty Procedure Clinic. The ideal candidate will have previous procedure or surgical experience and will play a vital role in supporting providers, preparing patients for procedures, maintaining a sterile environment, and ensuring efficient clinic operations.
This position supports multiple providers and assists with a variety of procedures while delivering exceptional patient care and maintaining compliance with clinical and safety standards.

- Monday - Thursday: 7:45 AM - 5:00 PM
- Friday: 7:45 AM - 3:00 PM
We are seeking an experienced Procedure Nurse or Certified Medical Assistant II to join our Specialty Procedure Clinic. The ideal candidate will have previous procedure or surgical experience and will play a vital role in supporting providers, preparing patients for procedures, maintaining a sterile environment, and ensuring efficient clinic operations.
This position supports multiple providers and assists with a variety of procedures while delivering exceptional patient care and maintaining compliance with clinical and safety standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare procedure rooms by ensuring all required instruments, equipment, and supplies are available and functioning properly.
- Assist providers during specialty procedures by anticipating needs and maintaining an efficient workflow.
- Prepare and educate patients before procedures, ensuring appropriate documentation and readiness.
- Perform accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Assist with endoscopy procedures, including the cleaning, processing, and sterilization of scopes and equipment.
- Maintain sterile technique and infection control standards throughout all procedures.
- Pass instruments and sterile supplies to providers during procedures as needed.
- Clean, restock, and prepare procedure rooms between patients.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of medical supplies and procedure-related equipment.
- Assist with surgical instrument counts and supply reconciliation before and after procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all organizational policies, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, clinical staff, and other team members to provide high-quality patient care.
- Current Louisiana LPN/RN License or Certified Medical Assistant credential required.
- Previous procedure, surgical, endoscopy, OB/GYN, GI, Urology, or specialty clinic experience strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of sterile technique, infection prevention, and instrument processing.
- Strong organizational, communication, and patient care skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment and support multiple providers.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, and transporting supplies and equipment.
- Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to assist with patient positioning and transfers as needed.
