Teaching assistants work in a preschool classroom providing aid to the classroom teachers. The classroom staff work directly with preschool age children in small group settings or 1:1 with a child providing supervision and assistance during learning activities, meals, snacks and outdoor play. Classroom staff typically work 7-8 hours a day.
The starting pay for this position is $15.00 hour.

Minimum requirements for the position are:
  • Child Development Associates (CDA) AND
  • Enrolled in a program that will lead to an associate or bachelor's degree OR
  • High school diploma AND enrolled in a CDA credential program to be completed within two years of the time ofhire.
  • Valid driver'slicense

Preferred requirements for the position are:
  • Associate or bachelor'sdegree.
