What is a Weekend Tanker Owner Operator?

A Weekend Tanker Owner Operator is a self-employed truck driver who owns and operates their own tanker truck, typically transporting liquid or bulk materials, and works primarily on weekends. They are responsible for maintaining their vehicle, meeting safety and regulatory requirements, and managing their own business expenses. Weekend schedules can provide flexibility and may appeal to those seeking part-time or supplementary income. Tanker owner operators must also have the proper commercial driver's license (CDL) with tanker and sometimes hazardous materials endorsements.
