Job description

Lead Software Developer (Geotab USA Inc) (Atlanta, GA) Lead software development efforts by overseeing the planning, design, and implementation of scalable code, prototypes, and Proof of Concepts (PoC); Architect strategic technical solutions by proactively identifying areas for architectural improvement and presenting proposals to senior leadership; Drive project implementation and delivery for complex, long-term initiatives, defining scope, requirements, and ensuring timely rollout; Serve as a Subject Matter Expert and mentor, providing technical guidance and mentorship to developers and advising managers on team improvement; Conduct quality assurance through comprehensive testing and code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and high standards; Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to improve product features and resolve technical issues; and Maintain expert knowledge of emerging technologies and industry best practices, presenting findings to senior leadership for consideration. The following skills and experience are required in order to complete the above-mentioned tasks: Experience with C# and SQL; Experience with Google Compute Engine; Experience with Postgres Spanner and Google Big Query; Experience with Git Version Control; Experience with Object-oriented programming, scalable application development, system design and architecture, testing, and code reviews; Experience with Project leadership, team direction, mentoring developers and interns; Experience presenting technical discussions; Experience working with development teams, stakeholders, and cross-functional partners; Experience researching and solving open-ended design problems; and Experience defining strategic direction, planning roadmaps, synthesizing feedback and managing projects to completion. Requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, and at least five years of experience as a Software Developer or related occupation.
