Keep the Mountain Moving. Lead the Crew. Make Every Ride Count.At Tenney, lift operations are about more than getting people from the bottom of the mountain to the top. It's about keeping things safe, organized, efficient-and making sure our guests have a great experience from the moment they enter the corral to the moment they step off the chair.We're looking for a Lift Operations Supervisor who can lead from the front, keep a crew engaged, and stay cool when the mountain gets busy.You'll be the go-to leader for our Lift Attendants, making sure everyone knows where they need to be, what they need to do, and-most importantly-how to do it safely.If you like working outside, leading a team, solving problems on the fly, and being part of the action on the mountain, this could be your spot.What You'll DoRun a Safe, Smooth Lift OperationOversee the daily operation of Tenney's lifts and make sure established safety procedures are followed.Lead Lift Attendants in proper loading, unloading, chair handling, and guest management.Make sure employees are in the right positions, paying attention, and ready to respond when needed.Keep lift corrals, mazes, loading areas, and unloading areas organized and safe.Manage guest flow and help keep lift lines moving during busy periods.Respond appropriately to falls, misloads, guest concerns, and other operational situations.Maintain required lift operation logs and documentation.Help coordinate emergency procedures and lift evacuations when needed.Be the Connection Between Lift Operations & MaintenanceLift Operations and Lift Maintenance have different jobs-but they need to work closely together.Lift Operations owns the people and the process. Lift Maintenance owns the equipment.You'll maintain strong communication with the Lift Maintenance team regarding lift starts, stops, equipment concerns, shutdowns, and reopening procedures.You'll make sure Lift Attendants understand any equipment-specific operating requirements or restrictions communicated by Lift Maintenance.You won't be repairing or adjusting lifts-that's the Lift Maintenance team's job. Your job is to make sure the operational side of the mountain is organized, informed, and ready to go.Lead & Schedule the CrewBuild daily and weekly Lift Operations schedules based on mountain needs.Assign employees to lifts and operating positions.Make sure every required position is properly staffed.Monitor attendance and make sure employees show up on time and ready to work.Adjust staffing throughout the day based on weather, crowds, lift demand, and changing conditions.Coach Lift Attendants and provide regular feedback.Address attendance, performance, safety, and conduct issues as they arise.Keep Mountain Operations leadership informed of staffing challenges or concerns.Train People to Do the Job RightA great lift crew starts with great training.Train new Lift Attendants on operating procedures, safety, guest service, and Tenney-specific expectations.Make sure employees demonstrate competency before working independently.Provide ongoing coaching and refresher training throughout the season.Reinforce proper chair handling and loading/unloading techniques.Work with Lift Maintenance when employees need to understand equipment-specific procedures.Keep training and certification records organized and up to date.Create a Great Guest ExperienceYou'll help set the tone for how guests experience the mountain.Make sure Lift Attendants are friendly, professional, helpful, and engaged.Keep lift lines organized and moving.Help guests navigate corrals and loading areas.Address guest questions and concerns quickly and professionally.Work with Ski Patrol and other Mountain Operations teams when guest safety or operational issues arise.Balance efficiency with safety and good old-fashioned mountain hospitality.What Makes Someone Great in This Role?You don't need to know everything on day one.
