Named Edmonton Renovation Company of the Year for 2026, we're looking for an experienced residential construction professional who enjoys leading projects, mentoring crews, solving problems, and still getting their hands dirty on the tools. Our projects run Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. No evening shifts. No weekend work. No overnight travel.

What You’ll Do

As a Working Site Supervisor, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day leadership, coordination, safety, quality, and productivity of residential renovation and custom home projects.


This is a hands-on leadership role. While your primary focus will be leading projects, coordinating trades, communicating with clients, and mentoring apprentices, you'll also contribute to construction activities as needed to support the success of the project.


Success in this role means delivering exceptional workmanship, maintaining strong client relationships, supporting the growth of your team, and keeping projects moving forward.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead residential renovation and construction projects from start to finish, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to Ackard's quality standards.
  • Work alongside the crew performing carpentry and construction work while providing day-to-day direction and support.
  • Coordinate labour, materials, equipment, and trade partners to keep projects on schedule and productive.
  • Mentor apprentices and support the development of team members on site.
  • Maintain clear communication with homeowners, trade partners, the Project Manager, Construction Manager, and internal team members.
  • Review project drawings, scope, and schedules to proactively identify and resolve issues before they impact production.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure all work is performed in accordance with company safety standards.
  • Utilize company technology and systems to document project progress and communicate updates.


What You Bring

We’re looking for someone who combines strong carpentry expertise with emerging leadership capability. You take ownership of your projects, lead by example, and are motivated to grow into a high-performing Site Supervisor role.


  • Journeyman Carpenter certification is a strong asset.
  • First Aid Certification, CSTS/WHMIS, Fall Protection is required.
  • Extensive residential construction experience, particularly in framing.
  • Previous experience leading projects, coordinating crews, or acting as a Lead Hand, Foreman, or Site Supervisor.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, and site coordination.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Professional and confident working with homeowners, crews, and trade partners.
  • Comfortable using construction technology and software such as Buildertrend.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Commitment to quality workmanship, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's licence.


Working Conditions

This position involves hands-on work in both interior and exterior residential construction environments. As a Working Site Supervisor, you are expected to actively work on site while also overseeing crew activities, coordinating work, and maintaining productivity across one or more projects in a fast-paced environment.


  • Work takes place on residential renovation and custom home build sites.
  • Frequent and routine work at heights, including ladders, scaffolding, roofs, and elevated platforms.
  • Exposure to all weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow.
  • Regular lifting of materials up to 50 lbs; occasional assisted lifts up to 75 lbs.
  • Physically demanding work, including standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, crouching, and continuous use of tools and equipment.
  • Work may be performed in confined, elevated, dusty, or noisy environments.
  • Regular use of power tools, hand tools, ladders, scaffolding, and other construction equipment is required.
  • Standard schedule is Monday to Friday, daytime hours; occasional overtime may be required to meet project timelines.
  • No overnight out-of-town travel is required.
