Job description

Metro Services is seeking to immediately fill Quality Inspector positions for a manufacturing client in Frankfort, IN. This is a Temp/Contract job. Apply now!

Duties for this position include:

• Perform first piece, in-process, and final inspections on all products
• Rotate between multiple QA Lab stations to support daily inspection needs
• Conduct dimensional analysis using CMM and hand gauges
• Inspect samples through cutting, buffing, polishing, hardness testing (Vickers), Magnaflux, and micro inspection
• Identify defects and ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and quality documentation
• Complete inspection reports and maintain accurate documentation
• Assist with off-site sorting and product transfers as needed
• Maintain safe working habits and follow all safety protocols
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support quality operations

Compensation (USD):

2nd Shift
$20.25/hour

3rd Shift

Schedule:

2nd Shift
Monday – Friday
2:45 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.

3rd Shift TBD

Successful candidates must meet the following requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Previous quality inspection or manufacturing experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects
• Experience using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime when required
• Commitment to workplace safety and use of required PPE
