Job description

CNC Machine Operator
We have a rewarding opportunity for a CNC Machine Operator to join our team in Round Rock, TX! As Our CNC Machine Operator, you will perform moderately complex set-ups and tear downs, operating and making tool offsets and adjustments for various types of manuals, numerically controlled and computerized machine shop equipment. You will work from blueprints, process sheets and sketches to perform production tasks, which may include the cutting and shaping of metal to precision dimensions. You will also check and inspect machining operations for first article inspections. May identify and troubleshoot machining operations.

Salary Information: $26.00 to $35.00 per hour

Your Challenge:
  • Manufacture parts and tools from blueprints, sketches, drawings and verbal instructions using a variety of machining tools and equipment (mills, lathes, drill presses, and other machining equipment).
  • Perform mathematical and geometrical calculations on an as - needed basis.
  • Prove out CNC Programs based on instructions received.
  • Must have the ability to take dimensional inspections and interpret the results against the provided blueprint.
  • Perform minor repairs of equipment.
  • Maintain equipment on a scheduled basis
  • Keep work area clean and free from safety hazards.
  • Maintain acceptable quality and efficiency level.
  • Must use micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and other measuring tools.
  • Responsible for verifying the quality of their product and accuracy of all work.
  • Working knowledge of shop and machine safety procedures.

What You Bring:
  • Due to the nature of work performed at this site, incumbents must be a U.S. Person.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • 2 years of experience in a CNC Machine Operator using vertical or horizontal machining centers and/or CNC Lathe
  • Ability to lift, push and pull 50 lbs; Standing for an extended period of time
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings.
  • Must be able to inspect parts using manual gauges.
  • Must be available to work OT in off-shift hours and weekends as required.
