In this fast-paced environment, you’ll be responsible for cleaning and decontaminating medical equipment and instruments, preparing sterile trays, operating sterilization equipment, and ensuring all items are ready for use. You’ll help maintain clean and organized department spaces, assist with deliveries, answer phones, and support the team by participating in training and in-service programs. Qualifications

Purpose & Scope:

Responsible for cleaning and decontaminating medical equipment and instrumentation; preparing sterile procedure trays and equipment; operating steam, low temperature sterilizers, and any other type of sterilization equipment used within CSP; maintaining sterile / clean storage/ and all other department areas; answering phone and service door; delivering requested items; completing all required documentation on activities; maintaining the standards of the organizations mission, goals, and safety behaviors; and assisting in other areas as requested. Participate in the training and in- service programs for staff, and students. Assumes responsibility and accountability at all times for quality performance and represent the CSP department in a positive and professional manner at all times.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent and an accredited course on central service technician training are preferred.

Experience:

Two years of sterile processing experience is preferred.

Certification/Licensure:

Certification in sterile processing is preferred.
