GL Staffing is seeking an experienced Industrial Mechanic to join our maintenance team in a fast-paced nutraceutical manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment, with a strong background working on Starch Mogul and Tanis machinery used in the manufacturing of gummy vitamins, supplements, and confectionery products.
The Industrial Mechanic will be responsible for ensuring maximum equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting production by performing preventive and corrective maintenance while following all GMP, safety, and quality standards.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday (weekend work may be required as needed)
Available Shifts:
- 1st Shift: 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
- 2nd Shift: 3:00 p.m. – 11:30 p.m.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and conveyor systems.
- Maintain and repair Starch Mogul and Tanis gummy manufacturing equipment.
- Diagnose equipment failures and implement effective repairs to minimize production downtime.
- Perform equipment setup, changeovers, adjustments, and calibrations.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, technical manuals, and equipment schematics.
- Install, modify, and improve manufacturing equipment as needed.
- Work closely with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to improve equipment performance and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete work orders.
- Follow all OSHA safety regulations, GMP guidelines, food safety standards, and company policies.
- Assist with equipment commissioning and startup after maintenance activities.
- Participate in continuous improvement and preventive maintenance programs.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical school certification or vocational training in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Technology, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a food, nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, or confectionery manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience with Starch Mogul and Tanis production equipment is required.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
