Job description

JOB SUMMARY: The Full-Time Security Officer is responsible for monitoring the surveillance camera system, patrol and surveillance of the stadium and surrounding the access control, loss and damage preventions, reporting irregularities, and contacting those in violation of policies and procedures. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide coverage of command center by:

  •  Answering all calls to the main security line, logging officer activity, monitoring surveillance cameras, monitoring radio traffic, monitoring access control system, checking out keys, and providing direction to rovers as needs arise.

Provide inside roving patrol by:

  • Securing and re-securing doors as necessary, identifying and reporting suspicious behavior, looking for and reporting any abnormalities or damage to stadium property, and completing incident reports as necessary.

Provide outside roving patrol by:

  • Securing and re-securing parking lots and stadium gates as necessary, identifying and reporting suspicious behavior, looking for and reporting any abnormalities or damage to stadium property, and completing incident reports as necessary.

Provide coverage for static posts by:

  • Checking in visitors at the north tunnel and gate 7.
  • Assisting with loading dock activity when the dock supervisor is not present
  • Assisting with event post coverage, and any other posts as directed by your supervisor.

Contributes to department team effort by:

  • Completing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Assisting with administrative tasks as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Must be 21 years old.
  • Valid Colorado driver license.
  • Ability to pass rigorous background check.
  • Prior security experience.
  • Prior security experience in the sports and entertainment industry.
  • Prior security training related to surveillance, access control, x-ray, metal detector, and incident report response and documentation.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed to cover mandatory event schedule.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, all Broncos home games, and public events as assign

PREFERRED SKILLS AND ABILITY

  • 3-months prior experience as a part-time Security Officer at Empower Field at Mile High.
  • Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, and ability to respond quickly and appropriately under pressure.
  • Strong Microsoft office skillset.
  • Ability to lead and work in a team atmosphere
  • Proficient at verbal and written communication.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Interacts with guests, employees, and partners in a professional manner.
  • Ability to remain objective and be emotionally balanced when dealing with difficult situations.
  • Ability to work with confidential information.
  • Ability to work in a team atmosphere.
  • Ability to monitor surroundings and recognize irregularities.
  • Understanding and use of security radio system.
  • Understanding and use of surveillance camera, access control, and drone detection systems.
  • Ability to operate of x-ray and metal detector equipment

In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the expected salary range for this position is $43,000-46,000.
