This role is essential for the daily well-being of the animals and the smooth operation of the stable, especially when full-time staff are off-duty on weekends. Weekend stable hands need to be reliable, physically fit, and comfortable working around horses. Prior experience with horses is often preferred but not always required, as some stables provide on-the-job training.
