JOB DESCRIPTION

The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining clean, comfortable, and welcoming guest rooms and public spaces throughout the Fairfield Inn. This position directly contributes to the guest experience by upholding the cleanliness standards of both the Marriott brand and Janus Hotels & Resorts. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering exceptional service.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Guest Room Cleaning & Preparation

  • Clean and service guest rooms to Marriott and Janus Hotels standards.
  • Make beds, refresh linens, and replenish amenities.
  • Dust, vacuum, sweep, and mop floors.
  • Clean and disinfect bathrooms, fixtures, and all high-touch areas.
  • Remove trash and ensure proper disposal.
  • Immediately report maintenance concerns or missing/damaged items.


Public Area Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness of hallways, elevators, stairwells, and public restrooms.
  • Restock supplies in public areas as needed.
  • Keep housekeeping carts clean, well-stocked, and organized.


Compliance & Safety

  • Follow all brand standards, OSHA guidelines, and Janus Hotels safety protocols.
  • Use cleaning chemicals and equipment responsibly and safely.
  • Adhere to key control, guest privacy, and lost-and-found procedures.


Guest Service

  • Interact with guests in a friendly, professional manner.
  • Respond promptly to guest requests encountered while on duty.
  • Communicate guest concerns or service opportunities to management.

Qualifications

  • Previous hotel or housekeeping experience preferred, but not required—training provided.
