  • Review and evaluate software architectures, vendor proposals, and developer deliverables against strict Navy/DoD requirements
  • Deliver strategic technical recommendations to the Compute Warfare Lead Engineer
  • Ensure modern PaaS and Kubernetes-based architectures meet all tactical, operational, and security requirements
  • Oversee automation strategies, CI/CD pipelines, and DevSecOps practices to ensure efficient and secure software delivery
  • Provide architectural guidance across Linux/Windows OS, networking, microservices, and cloud-native design principles
  • Support integration of ICAM, RBAC, IAM, and Active Directory within distributed PaaS environments
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives) within a cross-functional DevSecOps environment
  • Prepare technical briefs and communicate complex concepts to engineers, vendors, and leadership
  • Continuously evaluate emerging Kubernetes and commercial platform capabilities to inform modernization strategies
  • Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related taskings as directed
You Have:
  • Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Security Clearance
  • Deep technical understanding of Kubernetes and modern PaaS platforms (OpenShift, Rancher, Tanzu)
  • Demonstrated experience evaluating software architectures, vendor solutions, and developer deliverables
  • Strong knowledge of IT enterprise services (email, chat, collaboration, monitoring, backups, file services)
  • Experience overseeing automation, CI/CD pipelines, and DevSecOps deployment methodologies
  • Solid foundation in Linux/Windows OS, networking, cloud-native design, and microservices architectures
  • Thorough understanding of ICAM, RBAC, IAM, and Active Directory integration
  • Working knowledge of DoD Systems Engineering processes and tactical mission systems
  • Strong documentation and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a highly technical, fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn emerging technologies
We'd Be Impressed If You Had:
  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
  • Experience with IT/OT systems integration in tactical environments
  • Familiarity with CANES/ACS systems and migration strategies
  • Knowledge of modern observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
