The work model for the role is: Onsite, Senatobia, MS

Your role and responsibilities:

In this role as Manufacturing Process Engineer, you will define the working phase sequence of a new production or established process in order to achieve the targeted product cost and equipment investment budget for ABB Smart Power division driving beneficial changes throughout the ABB facility. You will be part of the Process Engineering team overseeing the standardization and lean-based improvement initiatives for existing products as well as new products being brought in as part of ABB's 200,000-square-foot facility expansion. You will also be responsible for designing the specifications for testing equipment of existing and new products.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Develop, configure, and optimize manufacturing processes (new and existing) from concept through startup, certification, and production ramp.

  • Assess and improve process performance by collecting and analyzing data to ensure optimal production methods, cycle time, equipment capability, materials, and ergonomics.

  • Define, implement, and maintain process and test standards, including operating instructions, visual and quality documentation, test specifications, and test equipment requirements.

  • Execute continuous improvement initiatives, including engineering change implementation, new product introduction support, and elimination of ergonomic and process hazards.

Qualifications for the role:

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering PLUS minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.

  • CAD or AutoCAD skills.

  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, six sigma principles and other process related standards is desired.

  • Working knowledge of process engineering software packages is a plus.

  • Experience in process simulations preferred.

  • Weekend Shift schedule: Friday - Sunday 6am-4pm

  • Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
