Job Summary:

The Water Resources Manager will oversee and manage the company's water resource projects. This includes conducting assessments, developing plans, and implementing strategies to ensure efficient and sustainable water management practices. The role involves collaborating with clients, stakeholders, and team members to deliver high-quality solutions that meet regulatory requirements and client needs.

Essential Duties:

  • Conduct hydrological and hydraulic modeling to assess water flow, quality, and availability in various projects.
  • Design and evaluate water resource systems, including stormwater management, flood control, and water supply systems.
  • Design, develop, and implement water management plans and strategies that align with regulatory requirements and sustainability goals.
  • Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies to gather project requirements and ensure compliance with environmental standards.
  • Provide technical expertise and water resource guidance to project teams and clients.
  • Supervise and manage water-related projects from conception to completion, including budgeting and scheduling.
  • Conduct field investigations and site assessments to collect data and evaluate existing water resource conditions.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best water resource management practices.

Requirements:

  • M.S. in Water Resources
  • PE certification
  • 10 years+ of stormwater management, civil site design-related experience
  • Required experience in MS Office, AutoCAD
  • Experience in: ArcGIS, AutoCAD/Civil 3D, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, ICPR, and similar water resources software
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Bilingual, strong written and verbal communication (English & Spanish)
  • Self-driven, analytical, able to follow directions, and contribute to the team

Skills:

  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in water resource management principles, including hydrology, hydraulics, water quality, and environmental regulations. Proficient in water modeling software (e.g., HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM) and GIS applications.
  • Project Management: Ability to plan, organize, and oversee water resource projects from inception to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
