Job description

eCommerce Growth Lead Location: Atlanta, Georgia
Compensation: $120,000–$130,000 Base + Performance Bonus
Schedule: Full-Time | Onsite
Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) with Match, 3 Weeks PTO About the Opportunity Our client is an established home improvement company with multiple showrooms in the Atlanta area and a growing national eCommerce business. They specialize in doors, windows, and related hardware, serving builders, renovators, contractors, and homeowners. The company is entering an exciting stage of growth and is looking for an eCommerce Growth Lead to take ownership of its online revenue strategy. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who is highly analytical, commercially minded, and comfortable making decisions based on data. You'll have the resources to execute your strategy, including a marketing team and technical support. Your focus will be determining what should be done, why it matters, and whether it is driving measurable results. What Makes This Opportunity Different
  • Own the company's eCommerce growth strategy and online revenue
  • Make decisions based on revenue, conversion, margin, and customer behavior—not vanity metrics
  • Lead and prioritize the work of a two-person marketing/content team
  • Partner directly with technical leadership to build the tools, reporting, and systems needed for growth
  • Have significant autonomy to test ideas, make decisions, and move quickly
  • Work with a high-consideration, spec-heavy product category where customer experience and product discovery are critical
  • Help shape the eCommerce strategy and build the playbook rather than simply following an existing one
The current eCommerce business generates approximately $5M in annual revenue, 90K monthly sessions, and a $2,500 average order value, providing a strong foundation with significant opportunity for growth. Key Responsibilities eCommerce Growth & Analytics
  • Own eCommerce revenue performance and the strategies driving growth
  • Monitor conversion rate, revenue per session, average order value, traffic quality, CAC, ROAS, and contribution margin
  • Analyze organic and paid traffic and understand the revenue generated from each channel
  • Track lead volume, lead quality, visitor-to-lead, and lead-to-customer conversion
  • Identify performance changes quickly and determine the underlying cause
  • Build and prioritize initiatives based on measurable business impact
Content & Customer Acquisition
  • Identify customer demand through search intent, on-site search, customer questions, sales objections, and competitor gaps
  • Develop clear content briefs for product pages, landing pages, videos, offers, and other marketing assets
  • Direct the content team on what to create and why
  • Measure content performance and continuously refine or eliminate underperforming initiatives
Shopify & Conversion Optimization
  • Manage Shopify merchandising, including product pages, collections, navigation, filters, search, and promotions
  • Identify and eliminate conversion friction throughout the customer journey
  • Regularly QA the website across desktop and mobile
  • Develop requirements for technical improvements and work with the technical team on implementation
  • Lead ongoing A/B testing and conversion optimization initiatives
SEO, Paid Media & Traffic Growth
  • Develop and execute eCommerce SEO strategy across product pages, collections, metadata, internal linking, structured data, and site architecture
  • Manage Google Search Console and GA4
  • Oversee Google and Meta advertising with a focus on revenue and margin
  • Manage product feeds, Google Merchant Center, and Meta catalogs
  • Support local search strategy across multiple showroom locations
  • Stay current on AI-driven search and changes in online product discovery
Email, SMS & Lead Generation
  • Own email and SMS as revenue-generating channels
  • Develop segmentation, automated flows, campaigns, and performance strategies
  • Oversee welcome, browse abandonment, cart abandonment, post-purchase, win-back, and quote follow-up campaigns
  • Develop digital lead-generation strategies for customers who require an assisted sales process
  • Ensure leads are properly captured, attributed, routed, and followed up
Team Leadership
  • Lead and prioritize the work of two marketing/content team members
  • Establish priorities, expectations, and performance standards
  • Provide clear direction and constructive feedback
  • Maintain accountability for team output while allowing team members to own execution
  • Partner closely with technical leadership and outside agencies or vendors when needed
What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years of experience in eCommerce, digital growth, performance marketing, or a related field
  • Advanced hands-on experience with Shopify; Shopify Plus strongly preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of GA4 and Google Search Console
  • Hands-on experience managing Google and Meta advertising
  • Strong understanding of eCommerce SEO, including both technical and on-page SEO
  • Demonstrated success growing eCommerce revenue with measurable results
  • Experience leading, directing, or managing the work of others
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Comfortable working independently and making decisions without a highly structured playbook
  • Ability to connect marketing activity to actual revenue and profitability
Technology & Platform Experience Experience with some or all of the following is highly valuable:
  • Analytics: GA4, Google Search Console, Shopify Analytics/ShopifyQL, Looker Studio

  • Feeds: Google Merchant Center, Feedonomics, DataFeedWatch
  • Lifecycle Marketing: Klaviyo, Postscript, Attentive
  • Tracking: Google Tag Manager
  • CRM: HubSpot or comparable platform
  • Advanced spreadsheet skills; SQL is a plus
The client is especially interested in candidates who understand A/B testing, attribution, faceted navigation SEO, product data/metafields, variant-heavy product feeds, email/SMS deliverability, and modern changes in digital advertising and AI-driven search. Preferred Background Experience in any of the following would be a strong plus:
  • Home improvement
  • Building products
  • Doors, windows, or other construction-related products
  • Furniture or other high-consideration products
  • Omnichannel or multi-location retail
  • Businesses that sell both online and through assisted sales or quotes
  • Shopify Plus environments
Who Will Thrive in This Role We're looking for someone who is naturally curious, analytical, proactive, and commercially driven. You should be someone who:
  • Notices problems before someone has to point them out
  • Wants to understand why a number moved, not just report that it moved
  • Makes decisions based on data and measurable outcomes
  • Is comfortable working with incomplete information and creating structure where none exists
  • Takes ownership rather than waiting to be told what to do
  • Can confidently challenge assumptions and have direct conversations
  • Knows how to delegate without giving up accountability
  • Can acknowledge when something isn't working and quickly adjust
  • Enjoys building systems and processes that make the business more efficient
What You'll Get
  • $120,000–$130,000 base salary, depending on experience
  • Performance bonus tied to measurable growth targets and paid quarterly
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Three weeks of PTO
  • Significant autonomy and ownership over the eCommerce strategy
  • Direct impact on a growing national eCommerce business
  • Two-person marketing team to support content execution
  • Technical support for development, integrations, automation, and tracking
  • Opportunity to build and shape the company's eCommerce growth strategy
This is an onsite position in Atlanta, Georgia.
