Position Responsibilities

  • Work with department team members and internal operational departments to ensure seamless integration for inaugurals.
  • Provide administrative and logistical support for all company sanctioned internal or external-facing events as directed by management.
  • Provide assistance with other Trade events as needed.
  • Perform other job-related functions as assigned.

Dimensions

Incumbent will interact with business owners and management; key community contacts; Consumer and trade press, along with other audiences including travel agents, general public, and other channels for communication.


Nature and Scope

Reports directly to the Manager, Events. The incumbent will communicate with executives, members of management, various departments, and members of the media. They will serve as brand ambassadors and company champions.


Knowledge and Experience


EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or related field of study; or any equivalent combination of skills and experience.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum 2 years' experience in a corporate setting required; technology and/or events management systems and data manipulation desired. Travel or cruise line experience preferred.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: Must be detail oriented and have superior organizational skills. Excellent communication skills required, verbal and written, to effectively communicate with internal and external clients of the organization.Must show initiative and good judgment, as well as sound decision making, problem solving and research skills. Assertive and participating as part of a team and open to new ideas. Proficient with Microsoft Office software. Ability to work flexible schedule, including nights or weekends, according to business demands.
