Job description

Evening Server/Waitstaff (Part Time)

Brookhaven at Lexington, a prestigious private retirement community located on the Lexington/Waltham line, is currently seeking part-time servers for its dining venues. We are a stand-alone non-profit organization and not part of a chain or large corporation. We don’t require experience as we will train! This is an excellent opportunity for high school or college students as we offer very flexible scheduling, especially around finals and other school events. In addition to an hourly wage starting at $15.00 per hour, there are also opportunities for $2,000.00 scholarships and some tuition reimbursement.

Schedule (minimum 11.75 hours per week):

Sunday - Saturday 4:45 PM to 8:30 PM (no late nights!)
Individuals are required to do at least 3 shifts per week with one being a weekend shift (Fri, Sat or Sun).
Pay Range: $15 - $17 per hour

Server/Waitstaff Responsibilities:

  • Greeting residents and guests
  • Taking and facilitating orders
  • Clearing and re-setting tables
  • Performing related set-up and end of shift side work

Server/Waitstaff Qualifications:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • A desire to provide high quality service to our residents
  • Prior customer service experience is preferred
  • Must be 16 years of age or older
