Job Summary

Anderson Country Club is a private golf and country club formed in 1902. ACC currently has 170 golf members along with 80 Social/dining members. Anderson Country Club has openings for part-time and full-time servers, banquet servers & bartenders. Previous bartending/service experience is a plus and will be part of hourly pay negotiations. Candidates must have, or be able to, obtain an Indiana employee liquor permit, and pass a safe serve test within 120 days of employment. Flexibility for split shifts & weekends will be necessary as business permits. Anderson Country Club can work around other jobs or work/school schedules to accommodate employment. General responsibilities:

· Take orders from members, and guests for food and beverages in the dining room and bar.

· Serve food and beverage to members, and guests or serve special dishes at tables as required

· Present menus to members and guests, have a full understanding of the menu, and make suggestions upon request.

· Explain how various menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and cooking methods.

· Inform members and guests of daily specials

· Record food and beverage orders on order slips, and enter orders into point-of-sale terminals for transmission to the bar and kitchen.

· Bring wine selections to tables with appropriate glasses.

· Prepare checks that itemize total meal costs and sales taxes, via point of sale terminal

· Collect payment or member charge information after service.

· Collect identification to ensure they meet minimum age requirements for the consumption of alcoholic beverages.

· Roll Silverware, set up food stations, and set up dining areas to prepare for large parties or next shift.

· Clean tables or counters after members and guests have finished dining.

· Stock service areas with supplies such as coffee, food, tableware, and linens.

· Prepare tables for meals including setting up items such as linens, silverware, and glassware

· Remove dishes and glasses from tables or counters, and take them to the kitchen for cleaning.

· Assist host or hostess by answering phones, taking reservations, to-go orders, and greeting, seating, and thanking guests.

· Perform cleaning duties, such as sweeping, mopping floors, vacuuming carpet, tidying server stations, trash removal, and bathroom checks.

· Be a willing food service expeditor, including taking finished dishes from the kitchen to tables or bar, and preparing condiments and sauces for specific menu items.
