Position Overview:
V&E Hospitality Group is seeking friendly and hospitable individuals to join our team as Restaurant Hosts/Hostesses. The Host/Hostess is the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for providing a warm welcome, managing reservations, and coordinating seating arrangements. Key Responsibilities:
  1. Guest Welcome: Greet guests with a friendly and welcoming attitude upon their arrival, ensuring they feel valued and comfortable.
  2. Reservation Management: Maintain an organized reservation system, including taking reservations over the phone or through online platforms, and ensuring accurate record-keeping.
  3. Seating Coordination: Manage the seating process efficiently, balancing guest preferences, table availability, and server assignments. Ensure an even distribution of guests among sections.
  4. Waitlist Management: Effectively manage waitlists during peak dining hours, providing estimated wait times and offering guests the option to wait at the bar or in a designated waiting area.
  5. Guest Information: Provide guests with information about the restaurant's offerings, including menus, daily specials, and any promotions or events.
  6. Clear Communication: Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff regarding table availability, special requests, and any guest concerns or allergies.
  7. Sanitation and Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized host/hostess stand and waiting area. Ensure menus and promotional materials are clean and in good condition.
  8. Guest Farewell: Bid guests a warm farewell and express appreciation for their visit as they depart. Collect feedback and address any immediate concerns.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a Host/Hostess or in a customer service role is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Positive attitude and a welcoming demeanor.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Physical qualifications:
• Ability to move throughout the dining room effectively.
• Ability to lift and carry serving trays weighing up to 15lbs and bus tubs weighing up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to perform reaching and stooping motions.
