Sensation Research is a custom Sensory and Consumer research company. We specialize in Product Development guidance for foods, beverages, alcoholic beverages and spirits, pet care, OTC pharmaceuticals, skin care, personal care, household care, flavors and fragrances.  
We evaluate human perception of products using a full array of standardized and innovative qualitative & quantitative techniques including Descriptive Analysis, Discrimination Testing, Time Intensity and Consumer Testing. Sensation Research has been providing valuable data-based insights to its clients since 2009. Many of our trained sensory panelists have been with the company for more than 10 years. Our team has extensive experience in guiding consumer product companies through sensory science and consumer research. Data from our research is used to drive product changes, enhancements, and provide support to advertising claims.

Sensory Panelist Job Description:
  • Taste, touch, smell and visually evaluate food, beverages, household and skin care products after being trained to characterize products based on their sensory properties.
  • Participate in group product evaluations to measure attributes to help our clients make formulation decisions and understand competitive products.
  • If selected, you will join a group working during the day, typically 3-6 hours a day, often for 4 days a week. Panels generally start at 9 or 9:30 AM. The schedule varies from week to week.
  • Scheduling flexibility is based on our client’s needs.
Job Qualifications:
Sensory sensitivity varies greatly from person to person. A Palate Sensitivity Screening will be offered at our Mason, Ohio facility to determine if a person has the aptitude to taste, smell and evaluate products in a detailed manner. Panelists who meet the sensory acuity criteria will be trained to work with our experienced team.
