The Field Director will play a critical role in the success of each state senate campaign. This individual will oversee all direct voter contact operations to build strong relationships with voters, increase turnout, and persuade undecided voters.

The Field Director will be responsible for executing the campaign's voter outreach plan and managing the day-to-day operations of field organizers, volunteers, and fellows. Responsibilities include recruiting, training, and supervising staff and volunteers; organizing and facilitating campaign events; and representing the campaign at community and political events.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide leadership, resources, guidance, and technical support to field organizers, fellows, and volunteers in every stage of the campaign
  • Recruit, train, and manage volunteers.
  • Organize, lead, and attend volunteer training and house parties.
  • Schedule, recruit for, and launch canvases in an effective, timely manner.
  • Meet weekly door-knocking requirements and ensure that volunteers are trained to properly perform their roles.
  • Maintain accurate and reliable field data in Votebuilder.
  • Provide the Campaign Manager with daily quantitative and qualitative reports as part of an ongoing evaluation of the program's success.

Requirements:

  • Two cycles of campaign experience preferred, ideally with one cycle serving in a paid role with demonstrated leadership experience.
  • Experience with community organizing and movement building. Additional relational organizing and/or distributed organizing experience is preferred.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, especially conflict resolution, listening, and ability to communicate professionally and empathetically.
  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to not only stay organized yourself but also to help ensure others are organized.
  • Comfort and ability to seek support and resources from others, including receiving and incorporating feedback.
  • Experience using GoogleSuite and NGP VAN is highly preferred. Experience with Mobilize, Reach, Scale to Win, or similar system(s) is preferred, but not required.
  • Must have a driver license, access to reliable transportation, a smartphone, and a computer.
  • Willingness to work irregular hours and weekends.
  • Experience working in Pennsylvania is a plus, but not required.

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary: $5,500–$6,000 per month, commensurate with experience.

Benefits: Comprehensive health insurance package including medical, dental, and vision coverage.

Start Date: Rolling, with earliest starts in March 2026
