Job description

Security Officers are responsible for protecting the property, assets, and people within an assigned site including patrols, monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting buildings and access points, and ensuring the safety and security of all individuals. The Security Officer will enforce applicable laws, regulations, and site policies to prevent criminal activity and ensure a safe environment. The main purpose of a Security Officer with Aegis Protective Services is to "observe and report."
Position Requirements
โ€ข Observe and Report: Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure the safety and security of the premises, conducting regular inspections to identify and deter potential security risks, illegal activity, or breaches.
โ€ข Operate and monitor surveillance equipment to ensure the security of the premises.
โ€ข Maintain clear and effective communication with site and Company staff regarding security matters.
โ€ข When required, complete detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of security-related activities.
โ€ข Respond promptly to alarms and incidents and take appropriate action.
โ€ข Provide excellent service by assisting visitors and employees with inquiries and concerns.
โ€ข Manage conflicts and disturbances in a calm and professional manner.
โ€ข Work together with law enforcement agencies as needed.
โ€ข Participate in ongoing training and professional development related to security functions and processes.
Desired Skills
โ€ข High School Diploma/GED is required.
