Job description

Armed Security Officer
Armed Security Officer – $40/hr

Schedule: Monday–Friday, with some weekends (Day & Evening shifts available)

This is an exceptional Armed Security role designed for professionals with extensive backgrounds in high-risk, critical environments. Ideal candidates include:

  • Prior law enforcement officers (10+ years)
  • Prior Department of Corrections personnel (10+ years)
  • Former active-duty military (minimum 10 years)

If you are mission-driven, highly alert, and trained to respond to threats with professionalism and discipline, this position offers a meaningful career path in security.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Maintain constant situational awareness and exceptional alertness.
  • Monitor pedestrian entry and exit points
  • Patrolling premises frequently to maintain safety of staff, visitors, and the facility
  • Using verbal de-escalation techniques as needed
  • Document daily activities and incident reports accurately and professionally

Qualifications and Skills

  • Law enforcement, active military, or Armed security experience required
  • Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong judgment and ability to respond effectively in high pedestrian-traffic environments
  • Must be qualified or able to qualify with standard duty handguns (Glock, Smith & Wesson, or similar). Prior firearms training or certification required.
