Security Officer

Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour

Schedule: 3pm-11pm; must be available to work weekends

Job Summary: The Security Officer will assist store management in maintaining a safe and secure shopping environment for customers and employees. The officer will monitor store activity, help deter theft, and respond to security alarms while providing professional customer service.

Essential Functions:

  • Monitor store activity to help deter theft and ensure a safe environment for customers and employees.
  • Observe customer and employee behavior for suspicious activity and report concerns to store management.
  • Respond to exit door alarms and politely verify receipts when alarms are activated.
  • Conduct routine patrols throughout the store and surrounding areas to identify potential security concerns.
  • Provide visible security presence to help prevent shoplifting and other violations of store policies.
  • Document incidents, suspicious activity, and security concerns in written reports.
  • Work closely with store management and staff to address safety or security issues.
  • Provide professional customer service while enforcing store policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
