Unarmed Security Officer

Elite Investigations is seeking experienced and reliable Unarmed Security Officers to join our growing team. This role requires individuals who are committed to maintaining high standards of professionalism while serving and protecting the surrounding community.

As an Unarmed Security Officer, you will be expected to deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining a confident and professional presence. The ideal candidate is calm under pressure and capable of handling crisis situations effectively, efficiently, and with sound judgment.

In this position, you will be responsible for completing daily activity reports, documenting incidents, and promptly reporting emergencies. You will also be expected to maintain a strong and authoritative presence while assigned to client sites.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a confident, professional demeanor and strong on-site presence
  • Project authority through clear communication, appropriate posture, and situational awareness
  • Serve as a visible deterrent to theft, misconduct, and safety hazards
  • Remain alert and observant while monitoring and patrolling assigned areas
  • Monitor and respond to alarms and potential security threats
  • Communicate regularly with site management regarding suspicious activity
  • Implement loss prevention strategies and procedures to minimize risk
  • Provide excellent customer service by assisting clients, customers, and staff with inquiries or concerns
  • Complete accurate daily activity and incident reports
  • Respond to emergencies in a calm, professional, and efficient manner

Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a valid MD Guard License
  • Must be able to pass government background check.
  • Must have 2+ years' experience as a security officer
  • Strong knowledge of loss prevention procedures and protocols
  • This is a patrolling position requiring you to be on your feet 8+ hours a day.
    • You must be able to stand for the entirety of your shift without sitting or leaning.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally
  • Must be able to read, speak, and write the English language fluently
  • Must be professional and well groomed
  • Must have open availability, including weekends
  • Must have reliable transportation

Shift:

  • Thursday - Saturday 1200x2100 (12pm to 9pm)
    • Must be available to work the above schedule to be considered.

Compensation: Compensation for this role is set and is not subject to negotiation.
