Job Summary

DSI is growing, again! We are hiring a Full-Time Security Officer for the Dundalk, MD area. Come join a diverse and inclusive team that believes in providing excellent customer service and knows that its biggest asset is its employees.

Pay: $18.50 per hour

Available Shifts

We are currently hiring for the following positions:

  • Rover Officer: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM | 32 Hours Per Week
  • Weekend Rover Officer: Saturday amp; Sunday | 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM | 16 Hours Per Week (Opportunity to combine with an additional 24-hour post for a full-time schedule.)
  • Main Gate Officer: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM | 40 Hours Per Week
Job Responsibilities
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and employees while providing general security duties to our clients.
  • Promote safety by being alert to observe, correct, and report any hazards.
  • Understand and comply with DSI and Client requirements, as well as specific post instructions.
  • Participate in training and become familiar with general safety procedures and DSI’s safety manual.
  • Interact professionally with clients, visitors, employees, and the public.
  • Perform routine foot patrols and moderate lifting as required.
  • Work in all-weather elements as needed.
Required Skills amp; Qualifications
  • Customer service oriented with effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Basic to intermediate computer skills.
  • Ability to perform routine foot patrols and moderate lifting.
  • Open availability to work flexible hours.
  • At least 21 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Driver's License and Texas Security License.
  • Reliable means of transportation and communication.
  • Must successfully pass all pre-employment screenings
Certification Requirements
  • Valid State Driver's License
  • Valid State of Maryland Guard Card
  • Must have a valid TWIC card
Education Requirement
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
