Preferred Student Classification Nature & Purpose of Position
The Video Editor is responsible for piecing together raw footage into a finished product. They work with the creative team to ensure that the final video is polished and aligns with the intended vision.
Other Requirements for the Position
Media Ingestion:
  • Responsible for uploading and syncing media to online cloud storage systems.
  • Manages media assets and maintains organization of editing projects.
Media Editing:
  • Assemble video content for assigned projects, ensuring smooth cuts and transitions.
  • Syncs sound, applies visual effects, and color corrects footage.
  • Editing for social media with appropriate pacing, safety zones, and graphic styles.
Media Delivery:
  • Ensures all content meets quality standards and deadlines.
  • Collaborates with Graphic Designers for motion graphics or thumbnails for the KSHU7 website or YouTube.
Live Event Production:
  • Occasionally assist with university Live Events (Camera Operator, Technical Director)
Qualifications
Proficient in video editing software (ex, Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve)
Ability to handle multiple projects with tight deadlines.
A portfolio showcasing your best work in video editing.
Occasional night or weekend work may be requested.
