About the job SECURITY SPECIALIST
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Specialist to join our team. The Security Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our facilities, patients, and staff. This individual will work closely with our leadership team to develop and implement security protocols and procedures, as well as conduct regular security assessments to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement security policies and procedures to ensure the safety and security of our facilities, patients, and staff
- Conduct regular security assessments to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities and make recommendations for improvement
- Monitor security cameras and alarms, and respond to any security incidents or emergencies
- Train and educate staff on security protocols and procedures
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services to ensure a quick and effective response to any security incidents
- Maintain accurate records of security incidents and investigations
- Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and trends in security to continuously improve our security measures
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a security role, preferably in a healthcare setting
- Knowledge of security protocols and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal regulations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and handle high-stress situations
- Proficient in the use of security systems and technology
- Valid security license or certification (e.g. Certified Protection Professional) is a plus
