Hunter offers $24.25 as the starting rate with $0.50 shift differential, and opportunities for advancement in level and pay.

Total pay is $24.75 an hour.

This position is for our 2nd shift (3:30pm-12am, Monday-Friday)

As an Assembler, you will assemble metal products, partially or completely, working at a bench or on the shop floor.

What Youll Do:

  • Observes and follows all safety rules
  • Positions parts according to knowledge of unit being assembled or following blueprints; fastens parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners
  • Audit production parts to maintain adequate stock to fulfill production needs
  • Removes small quantities of metal with hand files and scrapers to produce a close fit between parts
  • Operates hand tools or portable power tools to assist in the assembly operation
  • May be required to work at different stations as production needs warrant
  • Operate overhead hoist to maneuver material
  • Operate Forklift to move products throughout the plant
  • Operate hand tools to assemble products
  • Operate power and manual pallet jacks throughout the plant
  • Must be willing and able to work overtime as an extension to a normal workday or on weekends, as scheduled
  • Other assignments as deemed appropriate by the supervisor.

What Youll Bring:

  • High school diploma or GED is required
  • One year certificate from college or technical school preferred
  • Up to 1 year of experience in some industry or combination of education and experience or demonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability to read work instructions
  • Ability to use hand tools such as hand drills and air tools
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondences, and memos
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Basic skill level in computer programs such as Microsoft Office is highly desirable
