Job description

Harmony Biosciences is recruiting for a Medical Science Liaison in our Ohio Valley region. The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is a fieldbased scientific expert supporting Harmony Biosciences' Sleep/Wake and Epilepsy franchises. The MSL builds scientific relationships with KOLs, facilitates peertopeer scientific exchange, supports clinical research, and educates on (or discusses) appropriate use of Harmony therapies.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Scientific Exchange & KOL Engagement

  • Identify and engage KOLs in Harmony products and therapeutic areas
  • Conduct compliant scientific exchange for Harmony products and therapeutic areas
  • Deliver medical presentations, journal clubs, and diseasestate education
  • Serve as a trusted scientific resource for external experts

Territory Medical Strategy

  • Develop and execute a territory medical plan aligned with franchise strategy
  • Gather and communicate field insights, unmet needs, and competitive intelligence
  • Support brand and launch strategies through compliant medical activities

Clinical Research Support

  • Support companysponsored trials: feasibility, site identification, initiation, and engagement
  • Serve as liaison for InvestigatorInitiated Studies (ISS)
  • Communicate clinical data and emerging science to stakeholders

CrossFunctional Collaboration

  • Partner with Medical Affairs, Clinical Operations, Regulatory, Market Access, and Commercial (as appropriate)
  • Participation in advisory boards, speaker training, and internal scientific training
  • Represent Harmony at scientific congresses and generate internal reports


Qualifications:

  • Advanced scientific or medical degree required (e.g., PharmD, PhD, MD, DO), or an equivalent combination of medical education and relevant professional experience.
  • Clinical/scientific training in Neurology, Sleep Medicine, CNS disorders strongly preferred
  • Strong, current understanding of compliance issues related to the pharmaceutical industry and interactions with health care professionals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated acumen in delivering scientific presentations; Ability to successfully execute field medical responsibilities while working concurrently on medical/scientific projects.

MSL Level:

  • 2+ years of MSL experience OR 5+ years as clinical pharmacist, researcher, neurologist, sleep specialist, or related provider required

Senior MSL Level:

  • 5+ years of MSL experience OR 8+ years as medical director, clinical pharmacy manager, neurologist, or similar required
  • CNS/Sleep/Epilepsy experience strongly preferred
  • Product launch experience preferred


Physical demands and work environment:

  • This position will require up to 50% domestic travel, depending on geography; Some travel will be required to attend meetings on a local and national basis and training sessions.
  • Valid US Driver's License with safe driving record is required.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision.
  • Manual dexterity requires use of computers, tablets, and cell phone.
  • Continuous sitting for prolonged periods.

The anticipated salary range for fully qualified candidates applying for this position is $190,000-$220,000 USD annually. This salary range is an estimate of what we reasonably expect to pay for this posted position. The actual salary may vary based on various factors including, without limitation, individual education, experience, tenure, skills and abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
